僕の通っている学校では、毎日英語の練習ノートとをやらなくてはいけないのですが、旅行や部活の大会、学校の行事があるときはやらなくてもいいです。 そこで、ノートに「私は三月二十三日から三月二十六日まで大阪旅行のため、この練習ノートを休みました。」と書くには、 「I rested this training notebook for trip to Osaka between March twenty-third and March twenty-sixth.」 で合っているのですか？ 感覚でやってるんで中1や中二の頃の文法なんてあまり覚えてなくて…（それがいい点取れない原因だと思うのですが笑）

１．タイトル通りなのですが、このフレーズって一般的にどういう意味（意図）を持って使われるフレーズですか？ ２．このフレーズって見た人、聞いた人がよく誤解していませんか？ （ここから先は、質問の意図とか方向性を誤解されないように書いた蛇足です） 家族ってなんだろう？愛ってなんだろう？大事にするってなんだろう？というようなフレーズです。やり取りの例はこんな感じです。 A「家族ってなんだろう？」 B「パパとママと私が一緒にいて…」 A「じゃあC君の家はパパが海外で仕事してるけど家族じゃないのかな？犬も家族だっていう人はいるけど、どうかな？」 ～～～部分は色々な単語や動詞を入れて使えると思いますが、私はこのフレーズって本来「～～～がどうあるべきか」「～～～がどうあると良いか」「～～～に対する問題提起」っていう問いかけであって、純粋に意味を聞いているものではないと思っています。 ところが、小学校の授業でも動画のコメント欄でもいいですが、このフレーズが出た時の反応は「純粋に言葉の意味を考えて、それに対する特殊例などをぶつけられて、確かに違う！じゃあ、～～～ってなんだろう！わからない！深い話だなぁ」みたいに今している問答に対する無理解・混乱を、話が深くて想像がつかずわからないのと混同してる気がします。 「ってなんだろう？」じゃなくて「どうあるべきか」等もっと良い表現に置き換えた方が良いように感じてしょうがないです（特に小学生レベルならなおさら）。このフレーズの疑問が出た時、毎回多くの人が大前提で死んでいて、もはや話になっていないなんてことはないでしょうか。 あまりにもよくある気がするのと、間違いの種類としても困惑するような内容で現状の認識がただしいのか確認したくなり、質問させていただきました。そもそもそういう光景を見たことがないという回答も歓迎です。よろしくお願いいたします。
