科学論文で、target article という言葉に定訳はあるでしょうか。おそらく頻出する単語だと思うのですが、調べてもわかりませんでした。 具体例： We were pleased to see so many thoughtful commentaries and critiques in response to our target article. 試訳： 私たちの当該論文に、これほど多くの思慮深い論評や批判をいただいたことを嬉しく思う。 つまり、Weが書いた論文がまずあり、それに対してコメンタリーがつき、それに対してWeが回答するさいに、元の論文を target article と呼んでいます。このあとも何十回も用いられています。 「原論文」では意味が違うし、無視して「私たちの論文」と訳すのもおかしい（著者らにはたくさんの論文がある）。当該論文と訳してみましたが、なにかもっと適切な訳があるのでしょうか。
