まずここまではsome good peopleの動詞はwould shake、そしてｓａｙのすぐ後ろとmy parentsの前には接続詞ｔｈａｔが省略と考えていいのでしょうか？itはreadingかと・・
Ｈe argued that,if I had any sense,I would grow out of this type of reading:if Ｉ had not,it did not matter what I read,as I should be a fool anyway.
ここからがよくわかりません・・thatはarguedの目的語を導いているのですよね？ただ仮定法なのですがI would grow out of this type of reading
の訳がうまくできません。また：以下の構造がさっぱりです。I had notの後ろにはany sense省略でしょうか。なのでitが何さしてるのかのもわかり
ません。よろしくお願いします。
