It appears that John realized for the first time, how hard it is to look after a child by himself, after taking Kenji under his care for three days.
When he came back to see me, John embraced me and said that Kenji needs me after all, and that he wants us to get back together and have a new start. He insisted that there is still time, and suggested that we go and see our counselor before the week is over.
However I told him that it is too late, and reminded him that it was he who started this legal proceeding towards divorce.
So John has admitted that he can not raise Kenji by himself alone. It is apparent that he is in no condition to gain the child's custody and raise him.
