質問

ロシア語や中国語を勉強してみて 気付いた英語の発音に関しての疑問ですので、ロシア語や中国語を引き合いに出したことをご勘弁ください。
さて、Cの発音は 意外にそんなに難しくないと考えている人が多いと思います。
私が中学生の時、英語の先生は、英語の授業以外でも、例えば 校内アナウンスなどで 「○年C(スィー）組の生徒は.......」と言っていました。英語の先生だからと言っても 何ともなくわざとらしく少し滑稽に聞こえたものです。
しかし、ネーティブがCを発音すると もっと「シー」に近いというか、「スィー」と「シー」の中間のように聞こえます。恐らく、中学の時の英語の先生は 「シー」になってはいけないと意識するあまり、「C」を発音した時に、口の形と舌の位置が「ウ」に近い形で、つまり、舌先が下の前歯から歯茎に移動し、唇を横に引くのが不十分な状態で 「イー」と発音した為に 母音自体が普通の「イー」とは微妙に違ってしまったと考えられます。発音記号で書けば [sɨː] になるそうです。もし、ロシア語をご存じの方でしたら “сы”の音です。 かと言って、母音を正確に発音しようとすると、今度は sの音が発音記号でいう [s]と[ʃ ]の中間みたい音になってしまい、日本語の「しー」の音になり、もし、中国語をご存知でしたら 「西」の音にも似ています。

そこで質問ですが、Cの発音をうまくするにはどうしたらいいでしょうか？

Is it true?
I didn't know that really. But when I speak "Merci beaucoup", I can inadvertently understand what you mean to that!

Il n'y a pas de quoi, pardon, don't mention it.
The French pronunciation is actually less hard than the English one.
But the former is supposed to be more difficult than the latter by many people
who is dealing with the latter roughly, and also on the contrary some people who has mastered the latter pretty much by their adolescence.

English is much easier for French people than Japanese people, except for its pronunciation. The former take as much trouble to pronounce English as the latter.

In France the relative pronouns are taught earlier than the pronunciation of the each letter of English alphabet. It is not absolutely thinkable in Japan!

Oui, c'est vrai, pardon, yes it is. When the French "s" is pronounced, the tip of tongue doesn't swim in the air, as the first respondent says. It lightly touches the lower gums.

つまり下の歯や歯茎の裏側には、絶対に接触してはならないということです。

ここが日本語の「さ行音」と決定的に違う点です。

It's hard to pronounce for the Japanese.
