彼は最も有名な東洋人の一人で、もし生きていたらその時代のスーパースターになった男です。
彼の映画を最初に見たときの驚きは経験したことがないものでした。
本物だと・・・そう感じたのも彼が初めてです。
今の映画はCGやワイヤーアクション・スローモーションなどで映像を作り出します。
確かに素晴らしいものですが、私は日々積み重ねた鍛錬の賜物が昇華された彼の渾身の演技はこれらの特殊効果を超越したところに存在すると思います。
彼を知る多くの人が彼のことを完全主義者だったと語っています。
彼のマーシャルアーツへの執念は凄まじいもので格闘シーンでは殴られる相手にまで反応の仕方を武術指導しています。
一瞬一瞬に、まるで短い自らの人生を悟っているかのように全霊をかけて彼の格闘シーンは生まれています。
彼の映画を見れないのは残念ですが、この頃の彼には神が寄り添っていたのかもしれません。

He is the most famous Asian, he would be super-popular if he had lived in that period. I had never experienced such a shock before I watched the one of his movies for the first time. He was the first one who made me regard it as real.
Nowadays, more movies are created by means of wire-action or CG. Even though they are awesome for sure, still I think his move improved through considerable hard work and practice are beyond those special effects. He was known as perfectionist to many people who know him.　He had so strong tenacity of Martial Arts as to instruct other actors how to react when they got punched. He put everything he has got to every fighting action in movies as if he had realized his life was short. Unfortunately he is no longer possible to create a film, perhaps he might be possessed at that time.

最後の＜彼の映画を見れないのは残念です・・・
というのは、彼の新作が出ることはないという捉えました。
