⇒だいぶ時間が経ちましたが、前回、誤答していたらしいことに気づきました。
つまり、(5) had it not for が誤りの部分で、
→(5) were it not for〔または、(5) had it not been for〕が正しい形だと思います。

1か所、間違いがあると思います。つまり、
(5) had it not for ⇒ (5) had it not been for
です。
