＞register for things we'd like to haveとkeep a "private" registrationは何のことを話しているのでしょうか？ ⇒新築祝いに来てくれる人に対して、持参してくれるであろうお祝い品のことについてどうしようか思案している状況での表現ですね。＊register for things we'd like to have：「（招待状に）私たちの欲しいものを書き込んでおく（のがいいだろうか）」。＊keep a "private" registration：「それとも、内輪で記録しておいて（何が欲しいか聞いてくれる人にだけ伝えることにしようか）」。
