claimとthe net resultの訳語と◎から◎までの和訳お願いします。

It seemed clear that mathematics had a better claim to be considered knowledge than anything else; therefore it was to the principles of mathematics that I addressed myself. At thirty-eight I felt that I had done all that it lay in my power to do in this field, although I was far from having arrived at any absolute certainty. 他の何よりも、数学は、知識と考慮されるに正当な資格を有する事は明瞭であるように見えた
　　　　＞　数学こそ、知識と呼ぶにふさわしいと言う事は明らかなように思えた。
　　　　下記の名詞の２、「（～の）正当な資格」と言った意味ですね。

２。　net result　は、下記のようにもともと簿記の用語で「差し引き残額」の事ですが、ここでは「最終結果」と言う意味です。
