In the Liberal and Conservative, the concept of "freedom" is different each other. For example, the basis of Liberal is "to respect diversity". For people who have Liberal values, freedom to unite across national borders and to gain equality beyond gender can be said to be very precious.

＊日本語＝英語という風にはなっていないです。
日本語をもとに英語にはしていますが…英語で言いやすいように少し日本語の表現を変えている箇所があります。
ただ言いたいことは日本語に示した通りです。

価値観を持つ ＝ with で表せられるんですね。
持つ＝have かと思っていました。
＞cherish 「（信念など）持ち続ける/ 心に抱く」などという意味があるんですね。勉強になりました。

自由主義 liberalism，自由主義者 liberalist などをきちんと使うほうがいいんじゃないですか。他の投稿でも気になってましたが。

The concept of freedom is accepted by liberalists and by conservativists differently. Liberalists respect the diversity and think that freedom to build the international union and to achieve the equality beyond gender is very precious.
