おかしいと思うので指摘をください。

b) because butter is soft material
c) because diamond is so hard material
d) because branches of a tree is not rigid

c) A diamond can cut glass because it is harder than glass.
d) The branches of a tree bend in the wind because wooden material tends to be elastic and flexible.
e) Green wood (on a tree) contains some water while dry wood by definition does not. As green wood contains water, it is more elastic than dry wood. Dry wood tends to crumble and break easier.

注） a) と b) については、温度条件を考慮しなければなりません。例えばいくらバターでも、ガチガチに凍ったバターを切るのは困難です。
