Ecology(:David Burnie)
In the 1950s, a rabbit disease called myxomatosis swept across Britain. As the number of rabbits plummeted, the grass that they had once nibbled short began to grow lush and tall.
The ground's surface temperature fell--just slightly--because the tall grass screened more of the sunshine. This small drop in temperature was enough to create problems for a particular species of ant, one which relied on the warmth of the rabbit-nibbled turf.
As time went by, the ant started to disappear. As it declined, so too did a particularly beautiful species of butterfly--the large blue. The large blue's caterpillar feeds not on leaves, but on the grubs of this one species of ant.
【It has come to look so much like an ant grub itself that the ants are tricked into carrying it into their nests, where it devours their offspring.】
Without the ants, the caterpillar cannot survive, and by the last 1970s the butterfly had become extinct in Great Britain.

It has come to look so much like an ant grub itself that the ants are tricked into carrying it into their nests, where it devours their offspring.
look so much like an ant grub itself
