関係形容詞

質問

Whatever results follow , Iwill do my best.
という英文でwhateverは形容詞として譲歩を表すみたいなのですが。
この場合副詞節の中の主語resulsの形容詞として働いてるのでしょうか？
また
Related to this is the sense each friend gives the other of being a special individual,on whatever grounds this recognition is based.
という英文についてですが、of being a special individualはthe otherを修飾しeachの前に関係代名詞がはいっているんですよね？

Whatever follows, Iwill do my best.
「どんなことになろうとも（どんなことが起ころうとも）、私は最善を尽くすつもりだ」

この場合の whatever は代名詞で譲歩節を作ります。
ですから、

Whatever results follow , Iwill do my best.
「どんな結果になろうとも、私は最善を尽くすつもりだ」

の whatever は形容詞で、やはり譲歩節を作ります。

→その通りです。what results「どんな結果」だと what は形容詞の用法です。whatever results 「たとえどんな結果が～でも」の場合の whatever は what の強意用法で譲歩を表しています。
