この文の解釈を教えて下さい

質問

so deep and dark a blue it was almost black.

この文の文法的な解釈ができないので教えて下さい。

it was almost blackの前のso deep and dark a blueの構造が分からないです。

具体的にはdark a blueがどう繋がっているのか。

英語にお詳しい方、堪能な方是非回答願います。

１）so ～ that・・・ 構文はご存知だと思います。「大変～なので・・・」

　so dark that it was almost black （とても暗いので、それはほとんど黒だった）

２）この that は省略可能です。

　so dark it was almost black（とても暗いので、それはほとんど黒だった）

３）so ～ that 構文の ～ の部分に、名詞が入ると、 so + 形容詞 + a + 名詞 + that ～
　　の語順になります。ですので、a deep and dark blue を ～ のところに放り込みますと

　so dark and deep a blue that it was almost black となるわけです。

４）理由は、so と形容詞の結びつきが強いので、so a dark and deep blue ... とできないためです。

５）that はこの場合も省略可能ですので

　so deep and dark a blue it was almost black　となります。

☆such / quite / what + a(an) + 形容詞 + 名詞　の語順
の様な語順になります。

の様にも言えるでしょう。和訳は、

「[～は]、とても深く濃い青色だったので、それはほとんど黒と言えるほどでした。」
