Short-Term Study in Australia: A Transformation Story
- I was able to change my basic character a little by studying abroad in Australia. My mother encouraged me to go, and although I was initially hesitant, I made up my mind. The Australian people were friendly and supportive, and even when I made mistakes in speaking English, they didn't laugh at me. This experience gave me the courage to talk to many people at school and I no longer feel shy. This short-term study in Australia has made me more confident and outgoing.

I was able to change my basic character a little. I did not decide it for myself. I did not have such courage. → I was able to change my basic personality a little ALTHOUGH I did not decide to do so, BECAUSE I did not have the nerve for that. At first, I feel not proceed. My mother told me "Go to Study Abroad in Australia." And I made up my mind. → At first, I felt reluctant. My mother told me, "Why don’t you go to Australia to study English?" And I made up my mind to come to this country. The Australian people were very friendly and helpful. When I talk to my host sister and I were very nervous. I was talking wrong English, But she was not laughed. → The Australian people were very friendly and helpful. When I talked to my host sister, I was very nervous. I made mistakes when I spoke English but she did not laugh at me. Since that time, I was able to have a little courage I talked with many people at school. I was not ashamed able to speak the host family and friends. I'm not shy anymore than ever. This short-term study in Australia gave me courage. I got a little aggressive. → Since then I started having a little courage, and I talked with many people at school. I did not feel shy and was able to talk with my host family and friends. I'm not as shy as I used to be. This short-term study in Australia gave me courage and I became a bit more active. 自分が恥ずかしがりやの時は、shy * I'm not as shy as I used to be.「以前の私ほど。。。
