質問

塾の英文で、

it is this tiny fraction of "trueleisure"time
that plays what some would argue the most important role
in definig us as unique individuals.
とあるのですが
辞書で調べてもargueはSVOしかないので、the most important role の部分がどのようにかかってるかが分かりません。お助けください。

what some would argueの部分が挿入句と考えればすっきりすると思います。この部分を（　　　）でくくってみれば、plays the most important role in～で、「もっとも重要な役割を果たす」の成句でが見えて来ますね。
