相手の話を聞いた上で「それはどこで？」と尋ねる場合
Where is that? と使えますか？

話の内容にもやりますが、
Where did you hear that?　（hear以外の動詞を入れれば色んな変化が望めます。）
Where did you get that?
Where did you eat that?

Where is that?　（that　の代わりに他のものもOKですね。 あいずちであれば短くてOK）
Where is it?
Where is your home(located)?
Where is the restaurant?

使えると思います。

状況にもよりますが

Where is that?ということもあり得ます。

あるいは
Where did that happen?
Where was that?
と言った方がいい場合もあります。
