英語でスピーチをする講義で、
研究で扱っているヤマノイモ科植物について
身近なヤマノイモ科植物と比較しながら述べようと思っています。

そこで、一部、表現が分からないものがあったので、
ぜひアドバイスよろしくお願いします。

以下の文章です。

(1)今日は特に、スーパーで身近に販売されているヤマノイモと、研究に用いている野生種のトコロ(←イモの名前です)について比較したいと思います。

(2)これらのイモはどちらも茎が変形してできたもので、根が大きくなったものではありません。

(3)トコロは最大の大きさになっても、人間のこぶし大程です。

(4)ヤマノイモの味は、クセがありませんが、トコロは非常に苦いです。

(5)トコロの果肉は鮮やかな黄色で、ヤマノイモ科の植物の中でも非常に特徴的だと言われています。

(6)ヤマノイモとトコロは葉の形が似ている事を忘れないでください。

これらの表現が、英語表現になるとどうなるか
回答よろしくお願いします。

なお、ヤマノイモ、トコロ、は英語にしなくてもかまいません。

Today, I would like to compare Yamaimo which you find any store near you with Tokoro which is one of wild species and used for research purpose.

(2)これらのイモはどちらも茎が変形してできたもので、根が大きくなったものではありません。
These potetos are grown out of the stems, not of the roots that have grown into potetos.

(3)トコロは最大の大きさになっても、人間のこぶし大程です。
Tokoro is growing as much as the size of human fist as the maximum.

(4)ヤマノイモの味は、クセがありませんが、トコロは非常に苦いです。
The taste of Yamaimo is plain, but it is very bitter

(5)トコロの果肉は鮮やかな黄色で、ヤマノイモ科の植物の中でも非常に特徴的だと言われています。
The fruit pulp of Tokoro is bright yellow and its color is very peculiar in family of Yamaimo potetos

(6)ヤマノイモとトコロは葉の形が似ている事を忘れないでください。
Please do not forget that the shape of the leaves of Yamaimo and Tokoro looks very similar.

(1) I would like to compare today especially about トコロ (<- it is a name of a potato) of the yam currently sold close in the supermarket, and the wild species used for research.

(2) Both potatoes of these are what was able to change and do the stalk, and are not that to which the root became large.

(3) Even if トコロ becomes the greatest size, it is as man's fist size.

(4) トコロ is very bitter although the taste of yam is not peculiar.

(5) It is said that the flesh of トコロ is skillful yellow and is very characteristic also in the plant of the department of yam.

(6) Yam and the トコロ should not forget for the form of a leaf to be alike.
