英作なのですが、ややこしくて通じるかわからないので見てください。よろしくお願いします！

この前読んだ雑誌に、一般的にアメリカ人は何を成し遂げたかという最終的な結果が重視し、日本人はその結果に到達するまでの過程を重んじる傾向があると書いてあった。
The magazine I read recently says that while American people make account of what you accomplish in the end, Japanese people make much of how you achieve .

は、とてもいいと思います。
saidとしておくほうがいいでしょう。
後半
and that Japanese people make much of how they make efforts to try to sucseed.
とするのは、どうでしょうか。

～する傾向がある、は　tend to～
achieveもaccomplishもともに成し遂げるという意味ですね。
make much of～で、～に重きをおく、重視する。
他にも、
attach importance to～などもあります。
アメリカ人が結果を重視する一方・・という感じなので、
on the other side　を使うのはどうでしょう。
