たとえば，
(That / What) she V surprised me.
の V が自動詞にも他動詞にもとれればいいわけですね。

(That / What) she wrote/read to him surprised me.
(That / What) she eats between meals is surprising.

あるいは
(That / What) she walked on surprised me.
　walk on something ～の上を歩く　（on は前置詞）
　walk on 歩き続ける　（on は副詞）
