There is something more than・・・　の意味でしょうか？
more than のあとに比較するものが来ないと
あれ？って思いますよね。(^^)
There is something　→　何かがある
more than・・・　　→　・・・以上の（何かが）
ということです。

例文
Any adult can love a child, but, there is something more than love between them.
（どんな大人も子供を愛すことができる。しかし、彼らの間には愛情以上のもの（何か）がある。）
