引っ越しても私の事忘れないでね

質問

タイトルの通りですが、なんていうんでしたっけ？
こんな言い方、学校で習ったかどうか覚えていません。
どなたかおわかりになる方、宜しくお願いいたします。

Gです。　こんにちは！　そちらはかなり暑いようですね.　こちら中西部では全般的にすばらしい気候となっています.　この日曜日は独立記念日です.　The day the day when the US became the USですね。　Did you have a chance to set/arrange the Independence Day card to be sent out for the day?? <g>　中西部の首都であるシカゴではChicago Feastと言っていろいろなレストランの試し食いができます.　各々のバーベキューソースを使ったＢＢＱは有名です. シカゴの年中行事でお祭りです!

早速ですが、こちらではこのようなときにdon't forget meと言うような言い方をすると???となります.　忘れないでね、と言う言い方をしないで、keep/Stay in touch even after you move, OK?と言う言い方をします.　

親しい間柄なんかではYou will remember me even after you move, right?と言う言い方をジョーク的に言います.　ですから、同じように、You don't forget me even after you move, right?と言う同じくジョーク的な言い方もするわけです. あくまでもジョーク的な表現であり、引っ越していく人に言う言い方ではないです.

また、このforgetを使いたいのであれば、Don't forget to let me know how you are doing after you get settled.と言う言い方をして、私を忘れないでね、ではなく、落ち着いたら近況を知らせるのを忘れないでね、と言う言い方はジョーク的ではなく普通に言いますね.

しかし、このdon't forget meは歌詞などには使われるときがありますが、他にも、恋人だった人が結婚する事になってその人にひっそりと言うときにも使えますね.

つまり、忘れる事が当然だ・自然だと思われる状況にいるときに言う表現なんですね.　だから、普通にこの表現をすると???となるわけです.　

この忘れる事が当然と言う状況には忙しくなる、何かに集中しなくてはならない、と言うような状況も示します。　他の人と結婚すれば当然の事ですね.　だからこそ、新しい仕事で忙しくなるかもしれないけど忘れないでね、と言う感じでも使えるということであって、引っ越したから忘れる、と言う事はないわけです.

辞書に頼るとこのような生きたフィーリングを汲み取る事は難しいかもしれませんね.

はい、相手のリアクションから場違いな表現をしてしまったと気づきました。引っ越しても忘れるわけないのになんでそんなコト言うんだよ、みたいに思われちゃったでしょう。で、こんなこと言ってくれました。

私のことを忘れないでね、と厳密に伝えたいのなら使えるという事です。引越ししてもたまに連絡取り合って会おうね、との事なら当たり前ですが英訳も変わってきます。でも、そのような質問ではなかったので。

"You may be moving away, but don't forget me!"

"moving away"を"moving on"にしても可。

普通に使われます。

move awayもmove onも引っ越すという意味に使えるんですね。
相手に言った言葉は don't forget meとはちょっと違いましたが、日本語で忘れないでねをそのまま英語で言ったら違和感があったようなんです。「なんでそんな言い方するんだよ」って感じで。

英語で「忘れないでね」とはあまり言いません（かなり親密な関係であればフランクなジョークとして使うことはありますが）。こういう状況で最も一般的な言い方は

「Keep in touch.」

です。「バイバイになっちゃうけど連絡は絶対に取り合おうね。」という意味です。浅い関係でも深い関係でも使える便利な言葉ですよ。

さっきアメリカ人にチャットで言葉通り忘れないでねと言ったら違和感あったみたいでしたｗ

ああ、この表現、ここでよく見かけますね。「忘れないで」よりずっといい言い方ですね！
