The story that she was not at home I thought was a lie and I panicked. Even now, I am confused.

No doubt she would be surprised as well as angry to see this.

I got into a panic when I found out that she was telling a lie being at home. I am still confused even now.

I bet she is surprised and upset when she sees it.
