３００トンの門型クレーンが抱きかかえるように立つ艤装ドックと組み立てユニット式で船をつくる工場が、完成間近となり、組み立てユニットによる造船の時代の到来を告げています。船架（浸水時の滑り台）のある組み立て工場ともう一つの潜水艦の組み立てラインが、潜水艦建造の能力を高めるために築かれています。
