以下のコメントをネイティプの人からもらいました。 The human changes are what make the future what it is. what make the future what it is. はどういう意味でしょうか？

関係代名詞 what の応用問題です。it = future、what (2) は(代)名詞ですので、ほぼ what it is = future ：「future を future あらしめるもの」です。human changes = what 節ですので全体では「人の変化が(人類の?)将来を形作る」。
