＃6．さんの、Sound of Music の中の歌詞は私も思い浮かべていました。I'm just 16 going on 17...とか言う歌詞ではなかったかと思います。トラップファミリーの一番上の娘さんの恋のお話だったと思います。相手の青年は、当時のヒトラーユーゲントになっており、この恋は悲しい結末だったと思います。 ＃1．のSPS700さんの9 going on 10 が出た時に思ったのですが、29にそれほど大きな意味は無く、＃6．さんの、9 nine, 29 twenty-nine と韻を踏む事の方が意味があったと思います。＃4．さんの解釈「おませさん」とは、私の解釈は少し異なるのですが、全く私の個人的な想像かもしれません。9 going on 29 の年代は青春時代と呼んでよい年齢だと思うのです。そのような未来が奪われたと言っているのではと思って読みました。＃5．さんのヒントを参考に、まったくの意訳を試みてみました。間違っているかもしれません。 <意訳例> 彼女は9歳で、花の盛りの青春時代がこれからだった、栗色の前髪、小学3年生らしい無邪気なほほ笑み、ウサギのような大きな前歯とそれに比べると小さな乳歯、そんな顔立ちの少女だった。

ご存じないとぎょっとするでしょうね。三年生、実年９歳だが状況から歳には見えない女の子のこと。実はこれ１９でもよかったんですが、字面では９が共通していても音読すると 【nain】が活きない、つまり韻を踏みたいわけです。３９でもいいんだが流石にアラフォー間近では言い過ぎ...。それで２９ということに。ちなみにgoing on～はご存知のことでしょうから省きますが、Sound of Music のなか歌詞でこの表現があったと思うので改めて聴かれては如何？（ただし韻は踏んでいなかった....)。
