質問

’～’のところを節に変える問題がよく分かりません。。

(1)For,’judging’ by what the coach said,it was really Phil that won the game.
(2)Everybody, ’excluding perhaps a few jealous boys’,was proud of him,seeing that he was so humble.
(3)’Playing’ as they had never played before,our team won the game.
(4)On the contrary,’with tears of joy running down his cheeks’,Phil gave all the credit to his teammates.

勿論自分で考えてみたんですが、難しくてどこから手をつけていいか分からず。。

(1) For, if they judged by what the coach said, it was really Phil that won the game.

と言うのは、もしコーチの言ったことで（彼らが）判断すれば、ゲームに勝ったのは本当はフィルだった。

分詞構文で they は一般の人を表わすことが多く訳出不要の場合が多いです。judging from もよく使われます。

(2) Everybody, if they excluded perhaps a few jealous boys, was proud of him, seeing that he was so humble.

多分2，3人のやっかんでいる男の子たちを除けば、みんなが、彼が謙虚なのを見て、彼のことを誇りに思った。

分詞構文 後半の seeing that も分詞構文　after [they/he or she] saw that ...

(3) Because they played as they had never played before, our team won the game.

それまで一度もしたことがないようなプレーをしたので、私たちのチームが勝った。

分詞構文 they はチームの構成員を指しています。

(4) On the contrary, as tears of joy was running down his cheeks, Phil gave all the credit to his teammates.

それどころか、頬にうれし涙を流しながら、フィルは彼のチームメイトに手柄を譲った。

付帯状況の with この with がなければ、分詞の意味上の主語と、文の主語が異なるいわゆる独立分詞構文になります。ここではその形から書き換えました。また、この文は個人的には次のように書き換えたいと思っています。

On the contrary, tears of joy was running down his cheeks, and Phil gave all the credit to his teammates.

中3でこの問題を解いていると言うことは、中高一貫の進学校の生徒さんと想像します。分詞構文のURLを貼り付けておきます。分詞構文の書き換え問題としては、少しこり過ぎた文法問題だと言う印象を受けました。無理に力ずくで書き換えさせているようです。もう少し、書き換えに適した文法問題でもよいのではないかと思いました。

I agree with you. I don't see the point in these questions that demonstrate your ability of grammars in this way. The sentences are awkward and very confusing. Most of them don't make any sense.

Here are the alternatives:

1) The coach gave Phil the credit for his performance that led the team to win the game. ('Judging' is unnecessary, because it is not clear who is the subject)

2) Everyone/Everybody but few jealous boys was proud of him for his humbleness.

3) Since we played as hard as we never played before, our team won the game.

4) With tears of joy running down on the cheeks, Phil gave all the credits to his teammates for their accomplishment as a team.

（１）というのは、コーチの言ったことから「判断」（＝審判）すると、本当に試合に勝ったのはフィルだった（そうだ）。
（２）「嫉妬深い２３の男子を除けば」非常に謙虚な彼を全員が誇りに思った。
（３）今までに無い「プレー」で、我がティームは勝った。
（４）これに反して「うれし涙に頬を濡らしながら」フィルは勝ったのは皆のせいだと言った。
