下記の英文の”products were not selling”は、”products were not sold”が正しいと思うのですが、
わかるかたがいらっしゃいましたら解説をお願いします

Certain store products were not selling well, so the manager reduced the price all slow-moving inventory.

ものを主語にして，sell を自動詞として用いて「売れる」
という意味になります。
もの sell(s) well.「ものがよく売れる」
という形で用いられることが多いです。

「人・店が（ものを）売る」という表現を前提とせず，
ものを中心とした言い方です。
