When advertising products,I don't mention their negative aspects.(製品を広告する時、私はそれらのマイナス面にはふれません) という文があるのですが、このWhen advertisingの構文が分かりません。(分詞構文かと思ったんですが分詞構文ならwhenは省略されるはずなので違う)

誰にでも理解ができるセンテンスは主語と動詞を省くことが時としてあります。 If possible, I don't mention their negative aspects. If it is possible, I don't mention their negative aspects. If unnecessary, I don't mention their negative aspects. If it is unnecessary, I don't mention their negative aspects. When advertising products, I don't mention their negative aspects. When I am advertising products, I don't mention their negative aspects.
