猫の尻尾が内側へ湾曲することの形容

添付のイラストのように、猫の背中を尻尾の付け根付近に向けてなでたとき、猫の尻尾が内側へ湾曲するのはなぜか、というのを英語で質問したいのですが、難しくて英語でいえません。どう表現すればいいのか御教唆願います。
