jury aquit
sb is aquitted
court ... by aquitting sb

Mubarak was sentenced to life in prison in 2012. But the case was retried at the request of both prosecutors and defense lawyers.
The court on Saturday wound up the retrial by effectively acquitting the former president of the charges.
The local media says about 1,000 young people protested the court decision in Cairo, the Egyptian capital. Protests were also staged in the northern cities of Alexandria and Mansurah.
Reuters and AFP report casualties in Cairo during clashes with security forces, who forcibly broke up the protest with tear gas.
Demonstrations are expected to spread, as the court's decision is seen as a sign of restoring the government's high-handed approach.
More than 800 people died in clashes with security forces 3 years ago. Authorities have been clamping down on pro-democracy activists and Islamic movements since the military ousted Islamist President Mohamed Morsi in a de facto coup last year.
wind up the retrial by effectively acquitting A で Aを無罪放免ということで最新を結審させた という意味になります。
