as ＝ なのだから
〇〇 ＝ [the holiday] ＝ 休暇
XX ＝ [the date on a calender] ＝ 暦上の日付
△△ ＝ [reaching out to loved ones and remembering the reason for the season] ＝ 愛する人たちと触れ合いそもそも何のための休暇なのかを思い起こすもの

休暇とは暦上の日付のことというよりは、愛する人たちと触れ合いそもそも何のための休暇なのかを思い起こすもののことをいうのだから。
