質問

わたしは熱海と箱根、どちらへも行ったことがあります。景色で言うのなら、熱海は海、箱根は富士山や芦ノ湖といったところでしょうか。箱根では、登山電車、ロープウェイ、ロマンスカー、遊覧船と多種の乗り物を体験できます。
熱海の駅周辺やアーケードは閑散としていて、廃墟と化したホテルがゴーストタウンのように見受けられますよ！泊まるホテルによっては、外の眺めが悪いかも知れません・・・。
わたしがどちらかを選ぶなら、箱根です！

I have been to both Atami and Hakone. When it comes to scenery, I think you could enjoy the sea in Atami, and Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashinoko in Hakone. In Hakone, you can ride various kinds of vehicles such as mountain trams, ropeways, Odakyu Romancecars and sightseeing boats.
The vicinity of the railroad station and the shopping arcade in Atami are deserted and slack, and the hotels that went out of business look like ruins! The view from your hotel room might not be good, depending on the hotel you will be staying at...
If I had to choose between Atami and Hakone, I would decide on Hakone!
