>Why Are Nursing Students Given Assignments? ⇒ Nursing students have a lot of practical training. All grades, from 1st to 3rd year, are required to have practical training time. There are actually many types of nursing training, and there is also a certain order. An experienced trainee said: "Nursing training was tough. My mind, body, and hands are at their limit, I don't get enough sleep, I get scolded by instructors and teachers, and I have to research things I don't understand all by myself. When I talk to my fellow nurses after that kind of experience, most of them say, 'I don't want or can't do practical training again.''' I have the same impression. But when asked, "Was it a good experience?" I would answer, "Maybe it was good that I got to experience it." It is a medical profession, and as part of my duties, I have had the experience of a split-second decision that could lead to life or death. I feel that if anyone can easily and casually acquire this experience, that would cause problems. Even during the practical training period, I seriously studied medicine, faced patients, gathered information, and made assessments. I would say that it was a good experience for me. However, I don't think that means it's okay to have such a tough practical training as granted. To be frank, I would say that the doctors, professors, and supervisors at the training sites make us do labor in the name of "teaching". I am inclined to suspect that they are not looking at us as trainees, but as laborers. The solution to the problem is: ①Reduce the training time. ② Increase training in the laboratory and decrease the amount of time spent in the medical field. ③ Promote awareness among those in leadership positions.
