I have been experiencing unstable WiFi speed after switching to au hikari. However, when I connected my PC to the WLAE-AG300N wireless LAN adapter with a LAN cable, the speed became stable and reached 28Mbps. Is it sufficient to use this adapter even though it only supports IEEE802.11a/b/g?
Will changing the wireless LAN adapter to one that supports 11n further improve the speed? My home gateway supports IEEE802.11a/b/g/n, while the wireless LAN router (WHR-G300N) and my PC both support IEEE802.11b/g/n. The Buffalo website states that the WLAE-AG300N adapter is 11n compatible, but the actual product only supports 11a/b/g.
Should I consider upgrading to an 11n-compatible wireless LAN adapter for faster speed? My current setup with the WLAE-AG300N adapter connected via LAN cable provides stable speed at 28Mbps, but I wonder if upgrading to an adapter that supports 11n will further enhance the speed. My home network supports IEEE802.11a/b/g/n, and my PC is also 11n compatible.

無線規格に応じて対応する最大転送量が違ってくるので、規格によっては恩恵を受けるでしょう。しかし、無線の場合、携帯電話でもラジオでもそうですが、電波の届かない所というのは受信しにくい（データのやり取りが困難）ので、IEEE802.11nにしたところで状況は変わらない可能性もあります。「これでいいのか？」と聞かれても、家屋の環境が分からないので何ともです。言えることは、有線で繋いでも28Mbps程度しか出ていないので、IEEE802.11gの最大理論値54Mbpsに届いていませんから、ローカル内でサーバーなど立ち上げて大量のデータをやり取りしていない限りその点に関しては大丈夫と言えば大丈夫です。
