Internet Explorでなにかウィルスが入りましたっていう報告があってノートンで駆除したけどそれでも消えません。以下のとおりです。

しかもホームをYahooにしていても常にウイルスが入った日時を報せてきます。どうしたらいいか分からず今Firefoxを使っています。そこでは何も問題がありません。Internet Explorを消したら、そういう心配はないのでしょうか？それとも何かをダウンロードして駆除しないといけませんか？

質問者さんは英語版のNorton Internet Securityをご利用なのでしょうか？日本語版を使ってらっしゃるなら、通常出してくる警告などは日本語表記の筈です。質問文中にあるように、全編英語で書かれたものだとしたら…ノートン製品とは全く関係のないものがそれらの表示を出してきた可能性が高いと思われます。

少なくともいきなり画面上で"Free Scan"を勧めて来たり、"To enhance the security on your PC Download and run Intrusion Detection System (IDS software)"などと、追加のソフトウェアをダウンロードしろ、などという表示をノートンが出して来るとは思えません。IDSをダウンロードしろ、とか言ってるけど、Norton Internet SecutiryにはそもそもIDSの機能が含まれていますから、今更新しいのを入れろと言ってくること自体が不自然です。

結論としては…Internet Explorer利用中に何らかの感染に遭い、ともすればノートン製品が出したのと勘違いしそうな表示が悪意のあるプログラムなどによって出されている、という可能性が高いと思われます。

ちなみに…Malware Wipedはインチキなセキュリティ系ソフトの代表格として知られています。参考URLです。

当然、感染を放置しておくべきではありません。また、Internet ExplorerはWindowsの基幹プログラムの１つであり、これを削除するというのは正論ではないと思います。Firefoxの利用に逃げるのでは根本からの改善になりません。

不審な表示を出すための手法は幾つかあります。取り合えずまず、次のページを見て、ここに書かれたのと同様であるか確認してみてください。同じようなのであれば、書かれた方法で出なくなる可能性があります。

一応、どんなやり取りがされているのか覗いて状況を確認されてからの方が良いでしょう。質問される方の力量によっては、レクチャを受けながらの対処はきついものがあるかも知れません。また、質問時にはあらかじめHijackThisというツールによる解析結果を作成しておく必要があります。（やり方については、初回投稿前に説明のページが表示される筈です）

英語はまったく読めないので、
翻訳はExciteに任したのですが。

ウイルスというより、スパイウェアが怪しいような気がしますね。

とりあえず、Spybot - Search & Destroy及び、Ad-Aware
でをインストールして、スキャンしてみてはどうでしょう。
