In our Spring Saplings course, our objective is to build upon the skills that our children already have in place and to expand and to add new educational goals. In this course, we want to merge practical education with critical thinking. We will do this through helping our children learn practical skills like writing, phonics, and reading. Yet a child needs much more than just practical skills, they need to develop their minds in other ways. In other words, our children must have creative problem solving skills to succeed. We will cultivate these skills in our students through our specialized classes in music, art, science, math, social studies, computers, and cooking. Not only will these classes help the children open their minds to new information, but they will also be improving their English and will learn new ways to communicate. Through learning these practical and critical thinking skills, they will be prepared for almost any learning situation.
