エコポイントの処理の仕方

質問

液晶テレビをリプレイスし、店員に「インターネットでエコポイントの手続きをしてください」と言われました。
そのときも一通り説明は受けたのですが、よく覚えていません。

仕組みと手続きについて、お教えいただければ幸甚です。
