英語の得意な方、回答よろしくお願いします。 ５つございますので、番号に沿ってお答え頂けたらと思います。 (1)Have't you already finishied your work? この文をTOEICの参考書で見つけました。意味は、「仕事をもう終えましたか」というものだったのですが、多数疑問があります。１つ目は、完了形の疑問文には「already」ではなく「yet」ではないのか。２つ目はこの訳について、「まだ仕事を終えてないの」ではないのか。(ただしalreadyがyetだとして) (2)Would you mind opening the window? この場合のWouldは、Doの丁寧な表現だということですが、この場合、もともとのwillの依頼の意味はもうなく、単にDoに丁寧さを加えるための作業としてWouldになっているのでしょうか？もし依頼の意味が入っているとすれば、「窓を開けるのを嫌になってくれませんか」という意味となり、Doで始まる場合の「窓を開けるのは嫌ですか」の意味とは違うものになってきます。どうなのでしょうか。 (3)Where would you wanna go? これも、すこし(2)の質問と似ているのですが、この表現はネイティブの友達が良く使っていた表現なのですが、これも単に「Where do you wanna go?」に丁寧さを出すためにwouldをつけてるのですよね？もし依頼の意味が加わっていたら「どこにあなたは行きたくなってくれないでしょうか」と意味が全く分からなくなってしまいます。 (2)と(3)において、結果的にお聞きしたいのは、「would」と言う単語は、「依頼」の意味もあるが「単に丁寧さを出す」という風に解釈してもよろしいでしょうか？もしこう解釈できるとすれば、 ・Would you eat your own lunch? 意味：(上司に向かっておそるおそる聞いている)自分のお弁当を食べているのでしょうか？ ・Would you plan to go abroad? 意味：(上司に向かっておそるおそる聞いている)外国へ行く計画を立てているのでしょうか？ も成り立つということになります。 (4)状態動詞は受身にできるのか？ 例えば、 The gym can hold a lot of people.などです。 (5)Please help yourself at home. これの前置詞句以下は、「修飾語」と捉えるのか「前置詞を含む形容詞」と捉えるのか、どちらがいいのでしょうか？前置詞の後に続くものは修飾語と習いましたが…。 自分では全く答えが見出せないので、以上の5点についてご回答よろしくお願いいたします。
